Situation
Client had urgent need to fill a project manager role to get 11 books to market in less than six months
Authors were upset due to lack of communication in preceding weeks to my hire, not knowing where they stood in the book publishing process
Little to no processes were documented/existed
Task
Get 11 books to market with pre-guaranteed placement Amazon Bestseller list for go-live day
Nearly all books required proofreading, print proofs to be sent, interiors to be laid out and covers were mainly outstanding
Action
Developed quick turn processes, presented to client to get on some page
Updated communication guidelines to each author along with a status of where their book was at in relation to publication date
Result
